Ro (Rosemary) Huntriss is a London-based Consultant Dietitian and Nutritionist with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS, private practice and commercial business. She holds a Master's degree in Advanced Nutrition, and a second Master's degree in Clinical Research. She is a published academic author, with research published in peer-reviewed journals to include the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Clinical Obesity; and, her research was one of four papers to inform the Public Health England SACN guidance on low-carbohydrate diets in type 2 diabetes. Ro is a leading clinician in several areas to include fertility, weight management, diabetes, IBS and digital health and was named Community Nutrition Professional of the Year in 2021 at the CN Awards, sponsored by Yakult.
Ro has been involved in several exciting projects with brands and businesses, has written and co-written books and dietary plans, supported hundreds of people on their fertility journey and co-founded the NutriTribe to support dietitians and nutritionists in their careers. Following an enjoyable career in the NHS, Ro worked as the Clinical Lead for Obesity and then the Global Clinical Research Lead at Oviva Europe's largest provider of digital digital behaviour change treatments for health conditions including type 2 diabetes and complex obesity. She is currently appointed as the Chief Nutrition Officer at Palta, predominantly supporting the app Simple which aims to improve health of one billion people through nutrition via digital means.
Ro can frequently be seen providing content for national publications such as the BBC, Daily Mail, The Express, The Sun, HELLO! Magazine, OK! Magazine, The Mirror, Cosmopolitan and many more. Ro loves both the clinical and consultancy sides of her work and is a great supporter of dietetic and nutrition students and graduates. Ro is passionate about promoting health at an individual and public health level.
